Interview with courier of Econt

It is our pleasure to present you Courier Logistics Alexander Kostov. Alex is a part of the family of Econt back from 2001. He is one of the first couriers in the company and works in our Logistics center in Rousse. Let’s hear his story…

Hi, Alex! Thank you for responding to this interview despite your busy days during the holidays. Please feel free to tell about your first experiences as a courier of Econt.
Hello and Happy New Year! I also thank you for the invitation for this interview. I have been Courier for more than 10 years and will talk about things in the beginning. They were very different. At first we were only a few couriers and the administration, occupying a small office in the heart of Rousse. I remember my first days when I was lugging parcels on foot with a backpack. Shipments were mostly documents for various institutions. We had a van and a car – Trabant (he laughs). After some time it was given to me to make the deliveries with it and it was big fun. I want to tell you that the Trabant was with leather interior, but it was quite narrow. Due to my large height I was hardly fitting inside, and as I was loading the shipments too, It used to become as in the “grandfather’s glove” (he laughs).

Econt supports the Sofia Municipality Program for renovation of kindergartens in Sofia. In partnership with Ciela, Econt invests in joy for the children by funding the construction and installation of six playgrounds.

This is a continuation of our work in this region under the guidance of Yuri Alkalay. On May 4, 2010 was the official opening of the first playground – “Zvanche” (Bell) full-day kindergarten №173. The Sofia mayor, Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova and the Poduyane Municipality mayor, Mrs. Eva Mitova support the Econt and Ciela social activity.

On January 19, 2012, a short ceremony was held in “Raketa” (Rocket) Kindergarten and Nursery № 5, during which the Regional Mayor Eva Mitova, in the presence of senior officials of Sofia Municipality, district administration and district directors, presented a letter of appreciation to Econt and Ciela, in reference to another donation of equipment that we made late last year.

Dear Customer,

We have traffic delays in some directions, due to a vehicle accident in the passage of the Republic that caused the passage movement to be stopped.

To minimize the delay we applied an emergency traffic plan.

The traffic to Southern Bulgarian goes via the bypass route Kotel and Omurtag. The distribution of shipments from the distribution center in Lyaskovets have been moved to Shoumen. We organized additional lines from Shoumen to Varna, Targovishte, Lyaskovets and Rousse.

In regards to the the amendments made in the Postal services act the state monopoly on the so-called reserved area of the non-universal postal service (letter up to 50 grams) dropped out.

In order to be useful to the users of economic deliveries, we offer them better conditions and quality of services. Since 16.01.2012 we bring in new, more favorable market prices for items from the universal postal service up to 50 grams.

Information on the current prices can be found in the Tariff for postal services.

For further questions please do not hesitate to ask the Manager at your servicing office or our consultants on the free telephone number 0 8001 8001.

At the beginning of the New Year in Econt’s list of offices in its international service we include the magnificent Athens.

As a result in direct deliveries Greece – Bulgaria – Romania, including Thessaloniki, you can now use our services in Athens too.

The office will serve courier and cargo shipments from/to Econt’s office and from/to address of the customer.

Deliveries from/to Athens are performed by land transport and the delivery time is 48 hours (until 1 pm. on the second working day).

Delivery prices are such as those for the service from/to Thessaloniki.

The service Purchase by courier from Athens will be implemented on preferential terms for the period until 31.03.2012, at a price only for transportation costs without any extra charge for the purchase made.

He believes this is important and he has personally donated his Econt compensation from a claim.

The funds raised are in favor of Racho Kolev, 34 year old man and will be used for the needs of chemotherapy and transplantation of bone marrow stem cells.
